group of boy scout volunteers

On Saturday, May 23, nine Boy Scouts from Troop 44 from St. Mary's Parish in Star City, along with their families, helped fellow scout Nicholas Jarvis complete his Eagle project.
For his project Nicholas planned and designed a handicapped ramp for the dogs at Animal Friends. He also had railings erected for the steps and designed at permanent deer netting cover over the dog yard to prevent hawks from getting to the small dogs.
This project was made possible by the generous donations of Ace Hardware, 84 Lumber, Garden Creations, Southern States, WesBanco, Huntington Bank, First United Bank and Clear Mountain Bank.
