Look who is back 👀
Lucian was returned due to no fault of his own. He was not adjusting to his new life. So we are once again searching for a forever home for this special boy. Lucian has grown up with us this summer, and will need a patient home to help him adjust to his new life. He is still a puppy, and will need training. We would be more than happy to recommend local trainers. He would benefit from a laid back family, that could take him on weekend adventures. He is very dog friendly, and would love a canine sibling. Lucian will be a large adult, so older kids may be a better fit. This little guy just needs time to adjust and get comfortable in his new environment.
This handsome boy does great on a leash, is kennel trained, and is working on his potty training. He is up to date on core vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and given monthly flea and tick prevention.
His adoption fee is SPONSORED but any potential adopter still needs an approved adoption application.

Adopting a Pet
To adopt an animal, please fill out an adoption application before visiting the Sanctuary. This speeds up the adoption process. All adoption applications require a reference check from a previous or current veterinarian and other references as needed.

The adoption fee covers all vaccinations, heartworm and feline leukemia/FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) testing, de-worming, and spay or neuter procedure.
Adoption Checklist
So, you think you're ready to adopt a pet? Check out the checklist below.
- Browse available pets on the website.
- Fill out the Adoption Form and submit it.
- Schedule an appointment to visit the shelter and meet your new friend.
- Pay the Adoption Fee.
- Take your new best friend home.
If you choose not to keep your adopted pet, contact Animal Friends at 304-290-4738, and we will make arrangements to re-enter the pet into the foster/adoption program. Your adoption fee is non-refundable.
