Introducing Ham & Cheese

Ham & Cheese are 10-12 week old bouncy meatballs! They currently weigh 24lbs, and are expected to be large adult dogs. While their ears try to make a decision on which direction to go, we thought we could find these goobers a family! They are floppy, fun, and full of personality! They love toys, wrestling, and napping in the sun. These kiddos are endless hours of hilarious entertainment. They are doing well with potty training, and crate training. We are still working on the leash training, but were confident that they will have it figured out in no time!

These knuckle heads have done great with cats, other dogs, and all people. They are going to be large adults, and will need to learn manners to keep being the best boys! We would be more than happy to make recommendations to local trainers. Were hoping to find a couple active families who are in need of a bouncy little teddy bear!

Both are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, have been dewormed, microchipped, given monthly flea and tick prevention, and will be neutered.

Each adoption fee is $150 but any potential adopter still needs an approved adoption application.

This application takes at least a business day to process, so sending it in gets the process going!

Adopting a Pet

To adopt an animal, please fill out an adoption application before visiting the Sanctuary. This speeds up the adoption process. All adoption applications require a reference check from a previous or current veterinarian and other references as needed.

The adoption fee covers all vaccinations, heartworm and feline leukemia/FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) testing, de-worming, and spay or neuter procedure.

Adoption Checklist

So, you think you're ready to adopt a pet? Check out the checklist below.

Browse available pets on the website.
Fill out the Adoption Form and submit it.
Schedule an appointment to visit the shelter and meet your new friend.
Pay the Adoption Fee.
Take your new best friend home.

If you choose not to keep your adopted pet, contact Animal Friends at 304-290-4738, and we will make arrangements to re-enter the pet into the foster/adoption program. Your adoption fee is non-refundable.
