  • From the intersection of Greenbag Road and Don Knotts Boulevard, follow signs to Route 119 South.
  • Travel approximately 8.8 miles on Route 119 South.
  • Turn left on Brewer Road.
  • Stay right and travel approximately .6 mile.
  • The Sanctuary is on the right.

Directions to the Thrift Shoppe:

  • From the intersection of Greenbag Road and Don Knotts Boulevard, turn onto Route 875 East.
  • Turn right at the traffic light and travel up the hill.
  • Turn left at the first road into the Mall and drive around the building until you see the large Teletech sign.
  • Look to the right of Teletech for the Mall Entrance sign. Enter there.
  • Follow the hallway around a few turns and past the Senior Monongalians suite, which is on the left.
  • The Animal Friends Thrift Shoppe is on the right just past Senior Monongalians.

Adoption Checklist

So, you think you're ready to adopt a pet? Check out the checklist below.

  • Browse available pets on the website.
  • Make time to come visit the animal shelter and meet your new friend.
  • Fill out the Adoption Form and submit it.
  • Pay the Adoption Fee.
  • Take your new best friend home.

If you choose not to keep your adopted pet, contact Animal Friends at 304-290-4738, and we will make arrangements to re-enter the pet into the foster/adoption program. Your adoption fee is non-refundable.
