Introducing Little Bug 🐛
Little bug is a 5ish month old terrier mix. She is currently 20lbs and is expected to be a medium/large adult. Little bug is searching to find her forever home! Her first few months of life were tough, but she’s ready to start her new chapter! She has a booming personality, and is very active. She can roll with the crazies, or she’s content napping under a blanket on a couch. She loves toys, and looses her marbles for food. She is very smart, and would love to have a family that can meet all of her needs.
This girl will need an active and enriching home. Someone with time and patience to teach her the ways of being the best puppy. She’s doing well with potty training, and leash training. She’s learning the crate, but is not the biggest fan just yet. Little bug is not a friend of kitties, but would do well with another active pooch her size or larger. Meet and greets will be required. She is a very confident little pup, so we will be making sure she goes to a family who can harness her energy. This is not the right pup for a first time dog owner. Little bug LOVES people, and kids. But older kiddos would suit her best.
This tiny tornado is up to date on core vaccines, has been spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and bas been given monthly flea and tick prevention.
Her adoption fee is $150 but any potential adopter still needs an approved adoption application.

Adopting a Pet

To adopt an animal, please fill out an adoption application before visiting the Sanctuary. This speeds up the adoption process. All adoption applications require a reference check from a previous or current veterinarian and other references as needed.

The adoption fee covers all vaccinations, heartworm and feline leukemia/FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) testing, de-worming, and spay or neuter procedure.

Adoption Checklist

So, you think you're ready to adopt a pet? Check out the checklist below.

  • Browse available pets on the website.
  • Fill out the Adoption Form and submit it.
  • Schedule an appointment to visit the shelter and meet your new friend.
  • Pay the Adoption Fee.
  • Take your new best friend home.

If you choose not to keep your adopted pet, contact Animal Friends at 304-290-4738, and we will make arrangements to re-enter the pet into the foster/adoption program. Your adoption fee is non-refundable.
