Winston (male)

Winston

Introducing Winston and Watson 💙

We are looking for a special home for these bonded brothers. They were recently removed from a neglectful home. They are 6-7 years old, and severely underweight. Winston is currently 36lbs and Watson 42lbs. These guys should be 60+lbs. We got some bad news during Winston’s vet visit. Our vets found a thyroid tumor, that is inoperable, and most likely cancerous. Winston is not slowing down! He loves people, and is a very happy boy. However, we are unsure of what his future holds.

Both boys are very happy, gaining weight steadily, and loves treats. They’re great on a leash, and in a crate. They are a little nervous in new environments, but warm up quickly. They deserve to live out their days in a happy, healthy, loving home. Ideally, they would need to be the only dogs in the home, but we will consider a home with another dog, with a meet and greet. They have done well with cats.

What we are looking for:

– An adopter who understands their needs, and can help get these boys back to a healthy weight. Someone who can take on a “hospice” dog like Winston.

Or

– A foster home where these boys can reside until proper placement is found.

Both are neutered, up to date on core vaccinations, have been dewormed, are 4DX negative, and have been given monthly flea and tick prevention.

Their adoption fee is $150 but any potential adopter still needs an approved adoption application.
